Resident Hearing Aid Audiologist at Sevenoaks and Chichester

Ken originally joined the Navy at 18 and served for 12 years on various ships and shore establishments rising to the rank Chief Petty Officer in the Communications Technician branch.

Keen to continue with a technical role, Ken started his career in Audiology and Hearing Aids through a national company and came in the top 3 of over 40 students for his professional examinations.

In 2003 Ken joined an independent hearing centre close to the New Forest in Lymington after becoming frustrated with only being able to offer hearing products from 1 or 2 manufacturers. Shortly after this, he met Robert Davies at a professional conference and set up a part time centre in Chichester. In 2011 an opportunity arose to come onboard full time with South East Hearing Care Centres.

Ken said "It is important to me to that I am able to recommend the very best hearing aids from any manufacturer so that I can offer the best advice to clients that wish to hear the best they can. Working at South East Hearing Care Centres, which are committed to being fully independent means I can do this. The testing and fitting equipment I am now working with also means that I am able to fit hearing aids to a much higher degree of accuracy which can only be a better thing".

Ken splits his week working at Chichester and Sevenoaks which is a lot easier to get to since the opening of the tunnel at Hindhead.

Since qualifying as a Hearing Aid Audiologist, Ken has continued his professional development by attaining Fellow status in the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (B.S.H.A.A.) and is also an associate member of the Association of Independent Hearing Health Professionals (A.I.H.H.P.

A keen swimmer and part time triathlete, Ken recently swam the Ironman river swim in Littlehampton and hopes to do a 6 mile open water swim for the Deaf School in Kenya next year. He visited the school last year with Robert and is keen to support the invaluable work that Robert has done over the years.

Ken is married to Jo, a teacher and they have a boy of 2 called Samuel.
