South East Hearing Care Centres are proud to support the National Deaf Children’s Society and have done for the last 20 years. We understand how important the work they do is and ensure we make a monthly donation to help them carry out this work helping children who are hard of hearing, or have some kind of hearing issue.

This is one of the leading charities in the UK that helps young people with their hearing problems, but not only this:

  • they work with families to help them better support their children with hearing difficulties

About the National Deaf Children’s Society

The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) is a leading charity that is dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people.

It was founded in London on 15th December 1944 by a handful of parents of deaf children, concerned about the impact of the 1944 Education Act on their schooling. Its objective was to further in every way possible the provision of full modern education for all deaf children in England, as originally accorded to hearing children.

To this day, the Society’s visions and values reflect the fact that they remain essentially a parents’ organisation, dedicated to the needs of all deaf children, their families and carers. They provide a seamless service supporting families with deaf children, from birth to 25.

Not only do they work in the UK, they now have an international branch that works worldwide to help deaf children get the help they need and not lose out on opportunities and learning.

Their mission is to ensure that by 2030, no deaf children will be left without help, whether at school, at home or in their local community.

Our work with the National Deaf Children’s Society

We believe in the NDCS’s mission to help give children the best start in life and work hard to support them however we can. We’re proud to be able to provide them with monthly donations that help support their work, and have done so for the last 20 years.

These donations help them to implement long term care and help for deaf children, as well as develop new programmes that allow them to provide even better care and support.

Our hearing is extremely important and ensuring that people get the best possible hearing care and support is imperative to helping people enjoy their day to day life. We’ll continue to support the NDCS with their mission and help give children with hearing difficulties the best start in life.
